This Self-Advocacy Skills Practice Activity: Dice Game | Social Problem Solving Scenarios resource is the perfect way for your middle school and high school students to practice their self-advocacy skills in a simple, fun, engaging, and effective way. No Prep! Just print and play! Includes 36 different self-advocacy social problem scenarios! PLUS Blank Boards (Colored and B&W) to create your own custom games!

* Note: You will need two dice to play. If you do not have physical dice, there are plenty of free digital dice options online!

Students will feel a boost of confidence being assertive and speaking up regarding a variety of situations, including:

  • Asking for help
  • Expressing wants and needs
  • Asking for accommodations
  • Expressing feelings
  • Expressing sensory needs
  • Expressing self-regulation needs

This self-advocacy practice game is a great speech therapy, counseling, or life skills activity. I personally use it with my middle and high school school special education students who need extra practice expressing their thoughts, feelings, wants, and needs. It is a great way way to strengthen their life skills, problem solving skills, executive functioning skills, and social emotional skills.

* It is highly recommended to download the Self-Advocacy Sentence Starter Prompts Visual Support, as it pairs well with this resource to assist students as they learn to independently generate self-advocacy statements in a variety of situations and settings.
