French grammar lessons bundle - verbs, adjectives, negatives, subject pronouns
By Frenchified
Are you looking for French grammar lessons to help your students to understand some basic French grammar topics better? These lessons are made to walk students through the grammar point clearly and systematically, then to show the topic in action through a reading activity.
Many textbooks do not contain enough practice activities and their explanation of grammar basics can be lacking. These lessons will guide your students by introducing the very basics of the topic in a clear way then building on it with examples and practice activities. Students will "level up" and the lesson ends with a non-fiction reading using the particular grammar point.
This bundle includes the following topics:
Each lesson includes:

French Verbs and Grammar Battleship Games Bundle
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French Bataille Navale Games - French Battleship Games Growing Bundle
Everyone loves a good game of battleship! You can use this classic game format to practice forming any verb tense you are working on with your students, and more vocabulary and other grammar themes will be added. Most of these games include 5 different versions. These printable games require no prep. Save 50%.
These NO PREP activities are a fun way to encourage your beginner to advanced students to perfect verb conjugations and to practice vocabulary and other grammatical structures. You can pull out these games and use them as ice-breakers, bell-ringers, French club activities, games and much more.
Here is what’s included:
Here’s how these BATAILLE NAVALE games work:
Just print out one page of the version you want to use per student. Students place boats (which are squares on the game sheets that they will have darkened with a pencil) on the game board. Students play against each other to try to find and eventually sink their opponent’s boats.
Subject pronouns are written in the vertical column and infinitives are written in the boxes at the top. To choose a square, the player must say the subject and correct verb form in the tense you are working on. If you wanted to practice writing in the given tense you could have your students do that.
All of the vocabulary your students will need is written right on the game sheet. Each game sheet includes two battleship grids. One of the grids is for a player to place his boats and the other is to mark and keep track of his opponent.
Most games include 5 versions.

Daily French Conversation Lesson Bundle
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Daily French Conversations Bundle
These lessons are designed to show students how daily conversations flow in French in common situations. You get a video dialogue for each situation in French and English, audio versions with the dialogue spoken in French only, fill in the blank exercises, and transcripts which will serve as answer keys. You also get role play situations written in English that students can use to create their own dialogues.
For each of the ten lessons, I've included a page of helpful sentences and expressions (one copy only in French and another in French and English). Just click on the individual resources for specific details.
In these videos, students will listen and read along as typical French dialogues unfold (see all of the themes below). As students listen to the conversations, listening comprehension will improve, and they will learn lots of new vocabulary words and expressions. This is really the way French people interact, though it may never have shown up in the textbook! Each video lasts approximately two minutes, and it is easy to put them on pause so that everyone has a chance to study the text.
The speech is not too fast in these videos, and all of the words are written on the screen in French and with English translations. The grammar in these conversations is quite varied, and some of it is definitely upper-level. However, French learners at any level can learn a lot and benefit from these conversations through context.
Your students will find the English translations to be most helpful, and they will see how it is nearly impossible to give direct translations from French to English.
LESSON PLAN (as you explain it to students):
Step 1: Watch the video and read along as you listen to the conversation. When you don't understand a word, just look down at the English translation. Be sure to take notes! It's ok if you don't understand all of the grammar. Just try to pay close attention to how the sentences are put together and how we do it differently in English.
Step 2: Listen to the audio recording without looking at the words and translations on the video. Do you remember what the words mean? You can use this recording to practice and fine tune your listening skills.
Step 3: Print out the fill in the blank exercise, and write in the missing words as you listen to the recording. An answer key is provided. Once you have done this a few times, I challenge you to get out a blank sheet of paper and try writing it all! Just have that pause button ready!
Step 4: Read over the role play situation with a partner. Study the page with helpful French sentences and expressions, and invent your own dialogue. You can use some of what you learned in the video in your conversation!

French Speaking Activity Bundle - Vocabulary Activities - Communication Orale
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Looking for a fun and engaging way to practice speaking using themed vocabulary from the chapters you study in French with your core and immersion students? Wish you had a way to improve la communication orale in your French class? This is the bundle of speaking activities you've been looking for! Questions range from lower intermediate to upper advanced levels.
These French speaking prompt cards are perfect for reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, and getting your students to speak French together! Very low prep. Just print and cut out the cards and you're ready to go! Check out my French Taboo Game Speaking Activities for another fun way to get your students speaking about the same themes.
30 question cards are included in each set. Almost all of the est-ce que questions are asked in the tu form and require students to reply using je. Some of the questions encourage oui and non responses, but never without pushing for a bit more information like asking pourquoi. The questions include le présent, le passé composé et le futur proche.
Included in each set:
All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a ring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities at the drop of a hat.
This bundle includes 20 themed sets of question cards:
There are many ways you can use these speaking prompt cards:
➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.
➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.
➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.
➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.
➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.
➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.
➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.
➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.
➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.
