Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to add classical music to your classroom or homeschool? Classical music has been shown to provide numerous benefits for children, including reducing stress, improving focus and concentration, and increasing creativity. These activities are great for music appreciation and also help build social-emotional skills! Each activity is easy to set up (no glue required!) and a great way to engage students for Valentine's Day.

Listening Buddies sheets feature a piece of classical music with the composer’s name. While the music plays, students draw a scene in the box inspired by the music. They can also explore the feelings and mood of a piece by choosing meaningful keywords that match their listening experience. Students color the listening buddy at the top of the page or you can print the color version.

There are no wrong answers, and no musical training is required. Just print and play! Music is available on YouTube or your preferred streaming service.

This activity pack features one music selection from Sweet February Mindful Listening! Students can color their black & white listening buddy page topper or you can print the color version.

Student Moving Away Goodbye Memory Book Template Printables: Kinder & 1st Grade

Do you have a student moving away?

This file is near and dear to my heart, as I was a kid who moved 16 times by the time I was 16. As a kid who moved so many times (most of the time, it was midyear), I would have appreciated a memory book or notes as a keepsake.

This file includes cover and ending pages if you create a memory book for the student moving away. It also includes eight template pages for notes and three friendly letter templates.

It's a good idea for each student to choose their template based on their relationship with the student who is moving away. Students can place their notes inside an envelope, or your class can create a goodbye memory book.

Kirsten Tulsian has 18 years of experience in elementary education. She has been a homeroom teacher for first grade, third grade, and fourth grade, as well as ESL. She has also been a school counselor for grades PK-6, an ESL pullout teacher for K-6, and a Reading Recovery Teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and psychology from The University of Iowa and a Master’s of Education in school counseling from Sam Houston State University.
