⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Elizabeth S. says, “Thank you! My students had fun with this. I was so appreciative that I had the choice of printing in color or black and white. Behavior Reflection Sheets, Anger Management & Emotional Regulation Activities
By Mrs Bell The Crafty Counselor
Behavior think sheets can be a powerful emotional regulation tool for elementary-aged students. Anger regulation, calming strategies, coping skills, and self-regulation tools are much more effective if students are in a calm state when they try to utilize their skills.
Think time allows a person to step back and reevaluate their current situation, preventing them from acting in the heat of the moment. Once calmer, children can then think of how to handle the situation from a rational perspective. The included behavior think sheets and calming strategy resources aim to do just that.
Included in this Download:
Think time allows children a safe outlet to bounce around ideas of what they did, where they went wrong, and what they are going to do about it. It allows children to process the information without feeling the need to become defensive or protect themselves. They can problem solve and come up with their own solutions, allowing for tremendous personal growth and development!
Think time allows everyone to take a step back, think about what happened, and why it didn’t work, as well as provide time to brainstorm solutions. This is a very effective coping skill that we should instill in our young people as early as possible. The quicker they are able to think about emotionally charged situations from a rational perspective, the better off they will be in life.
Let’s teach our students how to keep their cool and not have a meltdown by giving them the tools to step back from emotionally charged situations, evaluate possible solutions, and react from a rational place.

Please note that these feelings posters do NOT include definitions. When we use descriptions of feelings with students, most of the time, we end up using other feeling words (synonyms).
If students are not familiar with feeling words, this becomes counterproductive. Instead, these posters provide examples of situations or experiences that lend themselves to particular feelings so that students have a relatable point of reference.
