Improve letter and sound recognition as students create a visual mnemonic device to connect the beginning sound /a/ with an alligator in the shape of a uppercase letter a!

This phonics activity is great for...

This letter craft file includes THREE printable template options for turning the uppercase letter a into an alligator:

• Print each page onto colored paper (construction paper, cardstock, or colored printer paper) and have the students cut and glue each part
• One printable page to be printed in color then have students cut and glue each part (NO PREP!)
• One printable page to be printed in black and white then have students color, cut, and glue each part (NO PREP!) This page could also be printed on to cardstock to cut and trace onto colored paper

Simply upload the SVG to your cut program, resize (while grouped), and cut on the shown color- or change it up and use your own preference!
