Explore Canada's wildlife, make a habitat diorama with Canadian animals. Animal habitats, animal diet, animal survival techniques and the importance of hunting and fishing to Indigenous people in Canada. This nature activity ties together Indigenous education and science in Canada. Students will learn about 16 animals that are important to Indigenous people - caribou, bison/buffalo, moose, seal, salmon, trout, beaver, duck, rabbit, ptarmigan, deer, bear, walrus, porcupine, goose & muskrat.
