Great Buddy Activity:
I designed this directed drawing as an activity when my fifth graders were working with preschoolers. We celebrated May by learning about Mary and finished by creating a picture of Mary.
Older students led the younger students, but this could easily be a teacher led activity.
Creativity comes into the activity when the students color and add their own details onto the picture of Mary.

Statement of Faith:
I believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and paid the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross, resurrected on the third day having victory over death. I believe in the trinity, that God is existent in 3 separate persons - God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe, as Calvary Chapel states, “that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.”

Algebra - Find the date of Easter - Algorithm
By Chimp-a-roo Maths
Great Easter activity in a Math lesson or a way of including Math in a Religious Studies lesson.
How do we know when Easter Sunday is when it keeps moving every year?
Easter never stays still, unlike Christmas there is not an exact date. How can we work out when Easter is each year? The date depends on both the Gregorian calendar (where there is a leap year every four years except for century years when it is only one in four) and the Jewish calendar (which follows a lunar cycle for years and months - it has a 19 year cycle where years 3, 6, 8, 11, 14 17 and 19 have a 13th month) In the Bible (St Luke, Chapter 22) we have a description of how Jesus ate the Passover with his disciples before going to Gethsemane. The Last Supper, the Agony in the Garden and the Crucifixion were at a time of a full moon following March 21st (Spring Equinox). The hurry to move the body before the beginning of the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) fixes the Crucifixion on a Friday. The Church has sort to preserve this sequence. If only there was a Mathematical formula to find out . . . .

Books of the Bible - Old Testament and New Testament - 4 Activities
By Dovie Funk
Here are FOUR simple activities you can do as a class to help review the books of the Bible:
Old Testament Game
The first is simply books of the Old Testament that students put in order as quickly as possible then say the names of the books together to review.
New Testament Game
The second is books of the New Testament that are placed in order on the frames to review.
I have also added six pages that can be used in digital resources by filling in the missing books of the Bible.
Fun Facts Activity
There is also an information page with six facts about the books of the Bible. I send this home as homework for students to learn the facts, decorate and bring back for a treat.
Individual New Testament Game
My favorite activity is a board game you can use as an individual activity or as partners. The board is printed in black and white on paper. Kids will roll a dice or spin a spinner to move their game piece. They color the piece where they land as well as say the books of the Bible as they go. The game continues until the board is completely colored.
After playing these games several times, students are much more familiar with the books of the Bible and some will be able to recite them by memory. I use these activities in Children's Church and the kids really enjoy it!
