Keep this quick reference guide for classroom behavior management strategies and interventions handy for when difficult behaviors arise in the classroom.

Print the Classroom Behavior Management Strategies and Interventions Quick Reference Guide on cardstock (laminate if preferred) and punch a hole in the top left corner. Use a binder ring to secure the pages together.

Use page 1 of quick reference guide as a way to determine an idea of the function of your student’s behavior. The box with the greatest number of checks should be considered as a possible function of the behavior. NOTE: THIS QUICK REFERENCE DOES NOT AND SHOULD NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF A FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENT FOR SIGNIFICANT BEHAVIORS.

After determining a possible function, flip to the page of the book for that function to see a list of behavioral strategies to alleviate the negative behavior. Behavioral interventions are also suggested by function. NOTE: THESE STRATEGIES AND IDEAS FOR INTERVENTION DO NOT AND SHOULD NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF A BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION PLAN.

This is an interactive and editable weekly planner! It includes 5 days (Mon-Fri) and a Week at a Glance. For the 5 days, each day includes an area for 4 subjects, and each subject has a spot to add the objective, materials, time, and notes! For the Week at a Glance, it has 2 spots to add any events for that day and special notes for the day! And if you would like to rearrange or change anything you can!

Everything is editable if you use the PPTX file (PowerPoint). You can edit using Google Slides, Canva, and PowerPoint. If you use the PDF file, you can upload it to any note-taking app and edit it there!

Who is this for? Need help writing professional, kind emails when something stressful, annoying, or difficult to explain has happened?

Consider this your foundation. None of these templates are 100% ready to copy/paste/send to a parent, so read each one completely before editing and sending.

I recommend keeping your original purchased download as a reference, but make copies to edit from if need be (the Canva version anyway).

Instructions:

For PDF: You’ll have to copy and paste the text into your email draft and edit from there anything you need to change.

For Canva: here you can edit your own version(s) from Canva, then copy the text into email once finished. Since this is basically a text-only template, there isn’t much you’d necessarily add to these or change, except names, specific details, and your contact info.

If there’s a line or a bolded word, assume you’ll have to edit it/add a detail of your own. Also, you might change “we” to “I” or vice versa- whichever makes more sense. There might be other words that need rewording that aren’t bolded!

Pro tip: don’t enter email address(es) to send to until you’ve completely edited and proofread your draft.

I’ve included suggested subject lines also.

These editable award templates are in PowerPoint form. You will download files in a flattened and secured PowerPoint file format. If you do not have PowerPoint then you can use a free on-line version at www.officelive.com - you just need to create an account.

You can change the font to whatever you prefer - I know I have favorites! The font used in the templates are free font. Potato Chips font and Poppins fonts are used and can be downloaded for free (personal use only) by clicking on the links.

The Alligator Awards or Certificates are designed to fit on 8.5" x 11" paper and can be reduced or enlarged at the time of printing if needed or can be printed 2 or 4 per page using your printer's settings. If A4 size is needed then you can adjust the template to fit A4 paper size at the time of printing by clicking FIT TO PAGE.
