For Any Grade Close Reading Bulletin Board Ideas

This 3-page resource is perfect to guide students in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Students can use the instructions page to pray the Chaplet and follow along with the words of the prayer. The next 2 pages are coloring pages that can be used for bulletin boards, activities, notebook covers, and calming meditation. When my students pray the chaplet, I like to offer a coloring page students can keep their hands busy while their minds are focused on God.

Coloring page 1: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Coloring page 2: Saint Faustina's Prayer for Sinners: This is a BEAUTIFUL prayer. The language of the prayer would be great for a close reading activity. The vocabulary, symbolism, and imagery in the prayer is challenging and gorgeous.

Set of blank book-based bookmarks to be filled out and personalized by students, also Includes a page of large size and a page with a single large bookmark that are fillable PDF, you can type in them. (FILLED OUT EXAMPLES ARE NOT INCLUDED)

Fill out a bookmark for each book you read, and decorate/illustrate to make it your own, collect them to decorate a scrapbook or a journal, or to display on a bulletin board, they could also be given out in a classroom or a book club.

For best results print them on thick cardstock paper.

Files include:

1 Pdf with 5 US letter-size pages 8.5” by 11”.

The large bookmark measures about 3" by 8.2"

and smaller set is 2.6" by 7".
