Cut and stick worksheet showing different things that people might do when feeling angry. Children to sort the pictures into groups of things they should do when angry and things they should not.

Why do you need this?

Managing anger appropriately is a vital skill for children to develop. This interactive cut and stick activity creatively builds positive behavior choices using engaging picture sorting.

How and when might you use this?

The worksheet features 10 pictures of scenarios showing different reactions when feeling angry, like hitting, screaming, talking to a trusted adult, hurting others, deep breathing etc. Children should look at each picture, discussing if the behaviors shown are right or wrong ways to deal with anger. Children then cut out the pictures and sort them under the columns “I should" or "I should not" according to their own reasoning. Finally, students glue their sorted cards under the correct column, creating a handy visual reference guide demonstrating constructive vs destructive anger reactions.

This script is a Readers Theater style skit perfect for learning about our Catholic Saints! Students will learn about a few stories from the life of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha in an easy to read play. Saint Kateri is the first Native American Saint and a patron saint of the environment. I've used these skits with 4th through 11th grade, and all the students love the chance to joke around, use different accents, and tell the story of a saint.

The saint story is four pages long and comes with a coloring page, a printable worksheet, and name tags for the students to hold while performing.

Saint Plays are a quick, easy lesson! They are ready to use: print and hand out to students. They can be used as a formal play--with students practicing and preparing to share with the class or at a parent night. The play can also be used as an in class activity to introduce the story of a Catholic Saint. Students can be active and working cooperatively as they plan and prepare the play. There is also a worksheet included with each saint to finish the activity with a lesson and review.
