RACE Constructed Response Strategy Test Prep Close Reading & Writing Prompts will guide your students through the process of answering constructed questions during state testing. It encourages students to provide complete responses to academic questions.

It supports students in building the necessary to provide evidence and support them. It provides a simple and structured framework to use when responding to a question or prompt. The first read explains the RACE Strategy to simplify and clarify steps and use of the RACE strategy. The second passage is about a boy getting ready for state testing. Text-dependent questions for each passage are included.

Charts and mazes are included. Students read each statement and decide which part of the RACE strategy to use. All answers must be correct to complete the maze and reach the end.
