The HFWs are organized to match the phonics concepts being taught so that they can be easily embedded into your phonics routine. This scope and sequence should help make teaching HFWs a breeze!

Kids' Back to School Parent-Teacher Night Message to Parents

This Back to School Night Letter from the student to Parents/Guardian a fun way for your students to connect with their loved ones before the school year starts.
On Back to School Night, have each student write a letter to whoever is attending to share their thoughts and feelings about the upcoming year. Are they thrilled? Nervous? A little of both? The different lined and unlined pages make it easy for all skill levels to participate.
When the special person visits your classroom, have them write a response letter back to the student. The next day, your students will be so excited to read the heartwarming notes! It's a simple yet meaningful bonding activity.
