Grades 3-6 Plot summary: The day after Thanksgiving “Black Friday”, is typically known as the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Department stores slash prices to mind-boggling low levels as shoppers battle their way through crowds to get items in their hands before many of their fellow shopping compatriots. We follow the story of Shannon, a business magnate who travels for her profession and is compelled to wait in line to purchase the brand new gaming system, The Flexdrive 2000. She plans to present this gift to her two children as she flies home after the Thanksgiving holiday. After unexpectedly waiting in the checkout line longer than she anticipates, she realizes that she missed her flight home – and that’s when the story begins take on a b-plot of its own. Shannon, along with other supporting coworkers, acquaintances, and a South California beach bum, are forced to make choices that will directly impact the holiday shopping season, and more importantly, time spent with their families. Join us in a hip-hop, non-stop adventure through the post- Thanksgiving merchandise frenzy in ”Black Flyday” The musical is 25 minutes in duration and features 6 movements in various musical genres. This bundle contains six of my Ms. Bie Ografee Talk Show format Reader's Theater Scripts. The bundle includes Bessie Coleman, Tuskegee Airmen, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and George Washington Carver.

Each play has the "guest" visiting Ms. Bie Ografee's Talk Show and audience questioners asking the guest questions about their life and accomplishments. The plays include a Did You Know? of factoids, comprehension questions, a teacher page with extension activities and the key.

Great for Black History(African American History)Month in February or any time of the year if you are covering American History or would like to use a biographical play as a Friday (or before a vacation) activity.

Use this webquest to learn more about how the founding fathers determined the use of impeachment in the U.S. Constitution and the history of impeachment. There are 10 web questions on this topic(including the Order of Succession and the Checks and Balances between the three branches of government). 4.The Constitution: A Visit with James Madison,”Father of the Constitution”:Reader’s Theater Script: Part of my Ms. Bie Ografee series of plays, this Reader's Theater Script is on the "Father of the Constitution", James Madson(1751-1836), and his sharing with students the history of the writing of the Constitution. Madison who would become the 4th President of the United States(1809-1817)), played a very important role in the forming of our US Constitution. In addition to being a delegate, he introduced the first additions to the Constitution(amendments) which came to be known as the Bill of Rights.
