Step 1: Gather Materials
Materials Needed:
Step 2: Decorate the Toilet Paper Rolls
Step 3: Connect the Toilet Paper Rolls
Step 4: Create Eyepieces
On one end of each toilet paper roll, make a small hole using a hole punch or by carefully poking it with scissors. Make sure the holes are aligned.
Step 5: Attach String
Cut a length of string or yarn, approximately 12-18 inches long. Thread one end through the hole in one toilet paper roll and tie a knot inside to secure it. Repeat with the other side.
Step 6: Decorate Further (Optional)
Step 7: Have Fun Exploring!
Now your Dr. Jane Goodall-themed binoculars are ready for action. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.
