1. How Human Behaviors Affect the Environment: Understand the impact of human actions on the natural world, including pollution, habitat destruction, and climate change.
2. Positive Behaviors: Explore positive actions individuals and communities can take to reduce their environmental footprint, such as the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle), repurposing materials, supporting conservation efforts, and protecting natural spaces like national parks and community gardens.
3. Negative Behaviors: Identify and examine detrimental actions that harm the environment, including littering, pollution of air, water, and soil, overexploitation of natural resources, and the introduction of invasive species.
4. First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Peoples' Relationship to Land, Plants, and Animals: Learn about the traditional ecological knowledge and stewardship practices of Indigenous peoples in Canada, including their deep connections to the land, sustainable resource management techniques, and cultural significance of plants and animals.

I created this document for completeness. It contains everything you need to easily and effectively teach this unit. It contains all content (over 75 pages) and over 30 pages of engaging activities, projects, comprehension pieces, computational research, group work, discussions and reflection questions.

This mini book is designed to introduce young learners to Earth Day with engaging pictures and simple sentences.

This resource is perfect for nature classrooms, and environment studies for students in kindergarten, and first grade.

How to Use:
