This packet contains clip cards for the ACK word family. These clip cards are a great fine motor literacy center or as a Kindergarten phonics center. There are 3 different card types for each picture with several different representation of the words.

Types of Clip Cards

  • The first set of cards have the picture with the beginning sound or blend for the at word and students must clip the correct word family ending to complete the word. Where is the black cat? This pumpkin themed sight word game is great for students who are practicing sight word recognition and beginning reading skills. This game can be used in a pocket chart or on a table top for an early education classroom.

How to Play:

Where's the Black Cat is a game for centers or whole group instruction where a cat is hidden behind a pumpkin. If the cat is behind the pumpkin, then the cat must be hidden again to play further. If the cat is not behind the pumpkin, then the poem is chanted again with a new sight word.

  • Build a Sentence: Students will cut out the words and unscramble the sentence using their sight word. They will then draw a picture of what the sentence is about.
