A Proofreading Checklist for students to monitor and proofread their own work. This Checklist includes important components needed in a quality paragraph. The following handout allows students to write a rough draft and then use this checklist to proofread their paragraph. Have plenty of magazines, brochures, or newspapers on hand for students/small groups to cut out comma examples and paste them under the correct comma rule headings. Group or individual activity is enjoyable to students, who will discuss rules as they work! After 76 days, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, the astronauts for the historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon, made history on July 20, 1969. Using a short summary of singers like Shawn Mendes, Arianna Grande, and Katy Perry, students will have practice correcting these interesting passages while learning about their favorite singers.
