In this product that relates with feeling grumpy students will discuss 10 questions that relate with feeling grumpy, irritated, miserable, and crabby, and how you may feel when you are grumpy, when you can feel grumpy and why, how your friends/family may feel when you are grumpy, what helps you feel better when you are grumpy, etc. Students can discuss these questions and share their responses with a partner, in a group, or with the class.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss feeling grumpy, how students would feel in a given situation, and what they can do when they feel grumpy or when someone else they know is feeling grumpy.

This feelings posters and activities product contains the following:
- 12 feelings and emotions posters in full color and black-and-white
- no prep feelings activities pages
The worksheets contain prompts such as, "I feel _____ when...." pages with black-and-white characters exhibiting each emotion or feeling.
The final pages are blank faces (two sheets for boys and the corresponding two sheets for girls) that can be copied front to back.
Students draw the faces with this prompt: This is how I look when I feel _____. There are 12 boxes for each gender with the feeling or emotion already filled in.
This product is perfect for a unit on feelings and emotions or a unit on character traits (to compare and contrast character traits and character feelings). Useful for Kindergarten up to 4th grade, you can use the posters for a bulletin board or reference pages while discussing emotions and feelings.

The following strategies are included: bounding on a ball, playing with play-doh, counting to 10, writing down thoughts, listening to music, stretching, quiet time, drawing, reading, going for a walk, meditation, hugging a favourite toy, having a drink and thinking happy thoughts. There are blank copies of the ingredients for students to write down some calming strategies that they like to use.
Laminate and use white board markers for students to write their own

In this product that relates with ignoring others, students learn why they should ignore someone if they are not nice to them, how you may feel if someone isn't nice to you, and discuss how you would feel if someone wasn't nice and they weren't ignored, how you could help your friend feel better if they were trying to ignore someone, and what you can do when someone isn't nice.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss ignoring others that aren't nice, how students would feel in a given situation that relates with ignoring others, and what students can do when they want to ignore someone who isn't nice.

My Self-Esteem Spider Web - Counseling Mini Lesson

This Mini-Lesson explores positive self talk which is the key to building self esteem.. Persistent low self-esteem can impact an individual's life in many ways. The constant exposure to negative feelings can trigger depression, anger, guilt, shame, anxiety or sadness. These emotions can feel overwhelming at times.
One way that can really help is to change the negative self-talk into positive self-talk. This in turns help to build self-esteem. By improving self-esteem, the student is better able to emotionally regulate which serves to improve many areas of their lives. This mini-lesson serves to change the negative self-talk scripts that students often gravitate towards and move to a more positive and constructive self-talk script.
The example of a spider and its web is used. The more you tell yourself NEGATIVE self-talk, the more it will stick. The more you tell yourself positive self-talk, the more it will stick. Just like a spider catching food in it’s web. Once it’s caught…it's hard to get out. So, the students are empowered to make a choice - to have either positive or negative self talk stuck in their web!
This resource includes many self-talk affirmations and scripts that the students can read and include on their own “self-esteem” spider web. They can choose which ones they want to apply to them. Included are a couple of reflective exercise activity sheets to help students to reflect and gain insight into what is happening for them. This is a great resource for students who would like to explore self-talk and self-esteem!
