A cryptogram is like a puzzle where letters in a message are replaced with different letters or symbols**.** You can solve it by figuring out which letter stands for which.  It's a fun challenge for learners.

Place these cards on the desks of students who are displaying wise choices, perfect work or students who need to stop what they are doing and make a wiser choice. Students can even give each other a card if they see a classmate doing some great work. Students can write about what it means to make wise choices and people in their lives who make wise choices. You could be creative with these cards and place them around square tissue boxes. If you see an entire table making wise choices, you could put the "Look whoo is making wise choices" box on the table for all children to see. The cards also come in black and white images for your convenience. The writing prompts come in primary and secondary lined paper for you to be able to differentiate to your needs. There are many other positive reinforcement games that teachers can play with students. Here are a few ideas you can play and then use my Growth Mindset - Positive Affirmations - Coloring in Worksheet as consolidation:

1. Catch the Compliment: In this game, students write compliments about each other on small pieces of paper. The teacher collects the compliments and reads them aloud. The student who is being complimented gets to catch a small toy or ball.
2. High Five Challenge: This game challenges students to reach a certain goal, such as completing a certain number of math problems. When they achieve the goal, they get a high five from the teacher or another student.
3. Treasure Box: Create a treasure box filled with small toys, stickers, and other fun items. When students do something positive, they get to choose a prize from the treasure box.
4. Class Compliments: Set a goal for the class, such as being respectful to each other or completing assignments on time. When the class achieves the goal, they get a compliment from the teacher and a reward, such as extra recess time.
5. Team Points: Divide the class into teams and award points for positive behavior. The team with the most points at the end of the week gets a reward, such as a pizza party or movie day.

This mood meter is a really great tool to use in the classroom. It was created with a specific layout that scaffolds emotions according to severity. It has students identify where they are on the mood meter and it shows what emotions they can work to channel to make their learning more productive! It is HIGHLY recommended to use in your classroom to help students regulate their emotions and feelings. This mood meter product comes with 4 versions:

1 – Full mood meter with mood (adjectives) + colors

2 – Mood meter with just color boxes

3 – Mood meter with colored quadrants (no specific boxes – perfect for students plotting emotions)

4 – Mood meter with adjectives only (students can color it themselves)
