Ron Clark 55 Essential Rules Inspired Slides | Admin | Instructional Coaching

By Professional Development and Teacher Prep

Are you a passionate educator looking for innovative ways to create a positive, engaging learning environment? Enhance your classroom management and build a culture of respect and academic excellence with The Essential 55 by Ron Clark. This transformative book will revolutionize your approach to classroom behavior and help foster a thriving learning environment.
As a companion to the book—and perhaps the workbook—this resource offers editable Canva slides that can be used with students, parents, and even shared on your school’s social media. It's a powerful tool to extend the impact of The Essential 55 across your entire school community.

How It Works:

  • Focus on one rule each day, following the sequential order of Ron Clark’s 55 rules.
  • Use the slides in various ways: print them to send home to parents weekly, display them in your classroom as a guide, or share them on your school or classroom’s social media page to keep families engaged.
  • You can also project the slides on your smartboard to teach, model, and reinforce each rule in your classroom every week.

Each slide features one of Ron Clark’s essential rules alongside a relevant image, helping to visually reinforce the concept. The slides are fully editable, allowing you to customize them to fit your school’s specific needs. You can even swap out the default images with pictures of your own students demonstrating the rule in action.

This resource is designed to be flexible and adaptable, making it easy to integrate The Essential 55 into your classroom or school culture. Whether you're looking to involve parents, enhance classroom discussions, or share the rules across your school’s social platforms, these slides offer a seamless way to keep the rules front and center.

What’s included in the 21 page PDF download, as well as the 38 Google Slides:

PDF

  • 7 pages of 30 unique full color challenge task cards

  • Instructions Page

************************************************************

How can you use these task cards?

  • Have the task cards available in makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using ANY available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

  • Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or discuss and use the Google Slides as a class.

  • Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

  • Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one.

**********************************************************

Why do I think you will love this product, and what makes my challenge set unique?

I love silly stories that bring humor and adventure to life for kids, but also that force them to use their imaginations in fun and exciting ways. This challenge task set does exactly that through the loose wacky stories where they are the main character. Silly scenarios, adventure and disaster, problem solving, and learning, are all part of the experience when building these challenges.

Most building challenge task cards are independent from each other. “Build a boat,” or “build an airplane,” are common themes among the cards. While those are fantastic, and we have done many of them ourselves, I wanted to do something different and more cohesive and engaging for kids.

The only rule is to HAVE FUN and allow those imaginations to soar!

**Please note that while the intent is for these to be independent, early readers may need some assistance in reading the cards.**

**This is not an editable document.**

Welcome Back to School Letter & End of Year Letter BUNDLE w/ Digital Option

By Kirsten's Kaboodle

Please note: You MUST USE ADOBE READER to edit the editable fields in these files (the greeting and closing fields).

PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH OF THESE FILES INCLUDE A SPECIAL 2020 LETTER TO ADDRESS EDUCATION CHANGES AS A RESULT OF THE CORONAVIRUS. COVID-19 WILL LIKELY CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE WAYS WE DELIVER INSTRUCTION TO STUDENTS AND THESE LETTERS ADDRESS THAT UNCERTAINTY.

NOTE: The body of these letters ARE NOT EDITABLE. The only editable fields on these letters are the greeting and signature fields. If you are looking for a letter with an editable body, these letters are NOT for you!

Please read the description for each product below:

BACK TO SCHOOL LETTERS FROM THE TEACHER:

This welcome back to school product includes a letter that teachers can send home to parents as well as a letter that teachers can send home with students. Each letter comes in a variety of border choices and black-and-white versions.

  • The letter to parents comes with a boy or girl version (the pronouns are changed throughout the letter to reflect a male student or a female student). This letter has three color background options as well the corresponding backgrounds in black and white.

  • The letter to students comes with three color background options as well as the corresponding backgrounds and clip art in black and white. Note: This letter does not require a boy/girl option since the teacher is using the pronouns "you" and "I" throughout the letter.

  • The new letters that have been added for 2020 can be found in the BEGINNING of the product file. You will find them on the first six pages following the instructions for editing the text boxes in the greeting and signature fields.

All versions of each letter have editable text boxes in the Greeting Field and the Signature Field. You can edit these two places on each letter, if you choose. If you'd like to print the letters as is, you may write in the student's name and your own signature. Just for reference, the font is Miss Kindergarten by Kimberly Geswein and the size is 14. THE BODY OF THE LETTERS ARE NOT EDITABLE.

BOTH LETTERS ARE ORIGINAL! I have NOT copied a letter that I found online and retyped it. This is important because you may want to mix things up and send a new letter home this year.

If you have any questions about this product, please ask prior to purchasing. If you aren't sure how to edit text boxes, I've included a page of instructions at the beginning of the product for your convenience.

END-OF-YEAR LETTER TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS:

AN ADDITIONAL SPECIAL 2020 VERSION OF THESE LETTERS HAS BEEN ADDED to account for the changes that occurred in the 2020 school year due to the COVID crisis. These letters make note of the fact that your school year ended early unexpectedly due to the coronavirus.

You will also find a GOOGLE Slides option so that you can send paperless letters remotely (via email or through Google). Look at the final page of the GOOGLE SLIDES FILE for instructions on sending these end of year letters remotely!

NOTE: The body of these letters are NOT EDITABLE. If you want a letter that you can edit, this is NOT the product for you. The greeting and signature field are the ONLY customizable portions of this product.

These editable (the greeting and signature fields are the ONLY editable portion of the letters) end of year letters to students and parents include an encouraging letter that teachers can send home to parents as well as a letter that teachers can send home with students (each letter contains a different message and is ORIGINAL).

The letter to parents comes with a boy or girl version (the pronouns are changed throughout the letter to reflect a male student or a female student). This letter has three color background options as well as similar backgrounds in black and white.

The letter to students comes with three color background options as well as the corresponding backgrounds in black and white. Note: This letter does not require a boy/girl option since the teacher is using the pronouns "you" and "I" throughout the letter.

All versions of each letter have editable text boxes in the Greeting Field and the Signature Field. You can edit these two places on each letter, if you choose. If you'd like to print the letters as is, you may write in the student's name and your own signature. Just for reference, the font is Miss Kindergarten by Kimberly Geswein.

AGAIN, THE BODY OF THE LETTER IS NOT EDITABLE!

ALL THE LETTERS ARE ORIGINAL! I did NOT copy a letter that I found online and retype it. This is important because you may want to mix things up and send a new letter home this year.

If you have any questions about this product, please ask prior to purchasing. If you aren't sure how to edit text boxes, I've included a page of instructions at the beginning of the product for your convenience.
