9 FUN ACTIVITIES that will engage students!!!

On Google slides/ make copy for students and they can move the pieces.

ANSWER KEY INCLUDED.

Spanish students can practice conversing with these simulated conversations.  Answering questions can be difficult for students, but these 5 (MORE) interpersonal speaking tasks give students some general information about what they will hear and how they should answer.  An audio link accompanies each conversation, with a 20 second timed pause for students to answer.  There is also a rubric for easy feedback!

These simulated conversations mimic the AP Spanish Simulated Conversation task and are also great practice for Seal of Biliteracy tests (like AAPPL) where interpersonal speaking is one of the tasks. Start practicing early!

***This resource was formerly the Seal of Biliteracy Interpersonal Speaking Task. As of 2/18/23, I replaced the Seal of Biliteracy Interpersonal Speaking Task with one more aligned to the AAPPL test. This Simulated Conversations, Version 2, is now being offered as a different resource. Who can use this product?

• Students in Year 3 and up (they may be appropriate for the end of Year 2)
• Students practicing for the Seal of Biliteracy Test
• Students practicing for the AP Spanish Language and Culture Test

How can I use this product?

• Play the audio over a classroom speaker or
• Assign 1 or more conversations to individual students.  They can each play the audio on their own device.
• Use these conversations as practice or as a graded assessment

These games are perfect for students to practice speaking for their AP SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAM.

GAME #1 IS PLAYED LIKE SNAKES AND LADDER. ALL STUDENTS have an opportunity of winning because it's also based on luck!

GAME #2 Has two options. Option 1: Teacher can print a copy for each group and they use a dice (the old school way, that works amazingly too), or

OPTION 2: Students can play online using my secret link. If students play online only one person needs to have it up on their computer and it is more of an interactive way!

This is part of my GAME BASED LEARNING approach.

The questions I chose are related to the course and themes.

EL JUEGO #1 SE JUEGA COMO SERPIENTES Y ESCALERAS. ¡TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES tienen la oportunidad de ganar porque también se basa en la suerte!

EL JUEGO #2 Tiene dos opciones. Opción 1: El profesor puede imprimir una copia para cada grupo y usar un dado (a la antigua, ¡que también funciona de manera increíble!), o

OPCIÓN 2: Los estudiantes pueden jugar en línea usando mi enlace secreto. Si los estudiantes juegan en línea, solo una persona necesita tenerlo en su computadora y es más interactivo.
